I’m beginning to think that Andrew Bolt is actually an elaborate practical joke and not a journalist (sic) with a twice weekly column and regular television and radio appearances. This kind of simplistic and simple-minded analysis is simply mind boggling.
I told you CNN was of the Left
It’s the rope that surprises me:
A well-known CNN reporter has been arrested in New York’s Central Park with drugs in his pocket, a rope around his neck that was tied to his genitals, and a sex toy inside his boot.
Of course, not a single conservative public figure has ever been caught engaging in exotic sexual practices or dabbling in a bit of the homogayism or the drugs. Ever.
Perhaps the D-Generation or the Chaser team will jump out from behind the actor playing Bolt in the years to come and reveal their brilliant hoax.
UPDATE (5.50pm): Bolt — as accurately predicted — has jumped out from behind his pissweak post and pretended to reveal his pissweak hoax.
Bullshit, Andrew. Your jokes are as transparent as your credibility.

It was almost compulsory for Conservative politicians in the UK to end their careers by being found lying dead in a brothel dressed in rubber and tied up like a turkey with an apple in their mouth. And what about poor old Malcolm Fraser – though I guess he’s a lefty too according to Bolt.

I saw the start of that story in the RSS feed and, to my eternal shame, let it pass.
But you’re right – this is indeed evidence that Andy’s brain has finally snapped. What more is there to say?
I wonder if he’ll come out and try to pretend it was some kind of pissweak joke.
Anyway, haven’t got time to write any more. Ropes to tie to genitals, drugs to smoke, and sex toys to find! It’s a fun life being Andrew Bolt’s fantasy lefty.

I know I had a problem with you last time I visited Jeremy,but Bolt seems to be self-referencing again.If you dont bolt something on,you might try tying it with twine.Whats a travel person got with the common garden variety,cannot stand anyone,even the bloody media types claiming they’re on my side Lefty..got to do with this man as an example!?Bolts Green one with Hitler profile is another self-referencing..eg .storm troopers ,bolt bloopers,pooper scoopers!

The best example I can recall was in 1994 when the UK Tory gov was crumbling (took another 2 years but …) and the BBC did a profile of the great Right hope to take over from the risible John Major. The morning after the paeon of praise was broadcast he was scheduled for a media conference to promote his putative leasership but was reported found dead with an orange in his mouth, plastic bag over his head, belt around his neck attached to a specially mounted hook on the wall then the news that “..police took away an item of furniture, a table leg…”.
Pure gold, nobody does it like the Right.

Editor, Jeremy. I think this was a piss-weak attempt at a joke by Bolt. However many of his moronic flock will probably take it seriously, and take the bait. I’m sure that you are on to the fact that he does test the waters, and is half serious about a lot of the things he writes, when he later claims they were meant to be humourous or ironic, all the while convincing himself and his loyal fools that he is clever. On this one I’m pretty sure it was a pissweak attempt at humour. The thing is he is in no position to present such “humour”, as statments like this are not far from a lot of the stupdity that he normally bleats out, so the irony is lost. Its also the case the this post of his is right next to another crack-pot one about the Nazi and Greens being allies.

It’s the disconnect between writing that kind of stuff and pretending to be some kind of “journalist” that bothers us.

bolta is steadily causing a visceral reaction every time i read his drunken, moronic, pidgeon-man-esque rantings. If he wants to do that, fine, create your own blog on myspace or facebook and go nuts. But for gods sake when is the Hun going to just whisper to him “oi shut the fuck up”?

This is just Standard Operating Procedure for the new right, straight from the Karl Rove book: fling mud, hit the headlines, wait for the outrage, then backpedal quietly while furiously ridiculing your critics.
The mud sticks, one way or the other, and you soon see who your real friends are. Murdoch supports it all the way – just look how he built his tabloid empire.

A mate of mine has always argued that Bolt is a left-wing plant to make the Right seem even more ludicrous than it is- that noone could be quite that stupid. I don’t read the Tele, don’t know (and from what I’ve seen, don’t want to know- I have blood pressure issues) about Tim Blair, but as a compulsive Insiders watcher, messrs Bolt, Ackerman and Henderson give me my weekly requirement of mixed amusement, boiling anger and (occasionally) even sensible observations. Wonder if there’s a website called Ackerwatch or something along those lines.

Yes Piers needs to be dealt with and then theres the lovable John Safran who originates from 3AW frontier land, North Balwyn. He loves Bolt, in fact said that when he had him on the show some time ago, he thought how human he seemed because he’d brought his little son into the studio. Swine breed also.
