Oh this is made all the worse considering that Bolt wrote such a long and passionate speech professing his love for Ramsay. Of course one glaring irony regarding Bolt’s pathetically ridiculous initial article, is that he praised Ramsay, as a supposed representative for Bolt’s type of politics, for not tolerating sloppiness in one’s work. And yet all this could have been avoided if Bolt actually spent 5 minutes researching a topic that he pontificated on for so long, as part of his ‘work’. Ah well better to have loved and lost I guess. Although I had a feeling that it wouldn’t last. I wonder how Ramsay would feel if he found that he had been made the poster boy for such a moronic flock of mindless, juvenile imbeciles as Bolt’s crew.

But what Ramsay is saying isn’t new for him:

I bet Bolt’s quietly a bit peeved at Blair for not warning him in advance that he was going to contradict a portait painted by him earlier (“this is a man that all conservatives should aspire to be like !” etc)

It makes Bolt look stupid and highlights his lack of research.

Hence the use of the phrase “Tim has exposed Ramsay’s eco-hypocrisy ..etc etc”. That makes it look like there is no way Bolt could have known that Ramsay is a big fat raving loony greenie.

Which is of course, not the case at all.

If Bolt had of said “As Tim Blair found” or the like then no worries. He talks up B2 in such a way as if he was the one rifling through the garbage bins to uncover the truth.

I guess the only other possible outcome was that Bolt said, “Gee, he’s a bit of an alright this bloke, and I respect his views on many things, so maybe these green types aren’t all loons.” Not much chance of that, it seems.

Also, I love how the evil greenies try to take away all of Bolt’s little pleasures (presumably not his fleshlight, however). How dare they!? Imagine asking him to go without out-of-season foods just because the global environment is rooted and people are starving around the world because the food production system serves the rich countries at the expense of the poor ones!

Just let the man eat his small pleasures without bothering him about someone else’s problems.

Oh, for fuck’s sake. “Tim Blair exposes”? Blair has exposed fuck-all. It’s a BBC report from the 9th May, and a report from The Independant on the 10th, both of which are actual articles rather than the 4 or 5 word sentences that Bolt and his ilk think stand for journalism or investigative reporting.

This is standard for Bolt – find some work that’s been done by someone else, link to it through a quote, and then shout “Huzzah! Look what I’ve done! I told you!”
