Vote ‘1′ anyone else

By Scott

The Blair/Bolt Watch Project reader Couchy emails:

Timmeh is streaking ahead in the Weblogs awards voting. Can I suggest that you put out a request that Watchers put a vote in for one of the others – a coordinated approach would probably be the best one. (I personally lean towards Screenplay, but each to their own).

Look inside your heart and act accordingly.

  • What, they don’t have preferential voting? Bloody Americans.

  • C’mon – Dawn Chorus, all the way!

  • The Dawn Chorus would be my pick too – although, if John Howard is getting a Medal of Freedom, then maybe tim’s services to democracy, human rights, and fake turkeys deserve recognition too.

  • Apparently US blogs are alive with the issue of Howard ‘bumping’ Obama at Blair House, Tony Blair allegedly declined the offer because he didn’t want to be the one to ‘bump’ Obama. Maybe, being a bit of an intellectual Blair didn’t want to stay with John Howard and Janette? Who knows, it’s pretty funny though that some are in a lather over accommodation (considering the real nasty stuff John Howard has done (locking children up indefinitely for example)) .

The story is in the Age (online) I can’t be bothered linking it.

  • Where’s Grods in the voting????

  • In any case, If Howard was still P.M. the the arrival of Obama would mean that the U.S.A. Australia Alliance would be in TatTeRs given Howard’s Mark Lathamesque stupid comments on the man. Wouldn’t it?

  • Is it true that c.80 of those freedom medals have been handed out this year?

  • I got one in my Weet-Bix.

  • The freedum medal isn’t really a medallion.
It’s a giant belt buckle with gun crossed over it emblazzoned with the word “YEEHAW!”

  • It’s Howards’ ego taking over again. What is it with the right and their egos, wanting to take over everything. E.G. Johnny bumping Obama out.

  • “What is it with the right and their egos, wanting to take over everything.”

    a sense of entitlement.
